There are many ways to love and to be in love.  Love is an overwhelmingly strong motivating force.  The numerous studies in all areas of the humanities and give us splintered pictures.  The moralist or theologian presents us with a spiritual view, aiming to help elevate awareness of sexuality.  One needs care here not to get too moralistic, as the temptation would be to limit an otherwise healthy sexual expression.

With recent social-political movements for sexual liberation, private aspects of human relations have been taken out of the realm of intimacy and placed before the public, into political arenas.  Anthropology and sociology fields have contributed perspectives on sexual behavior and patterns of human relations.  Through anthropology we compare cultural behavior patterns, sociology analyzes human sexual relations as they reflect and shape the social order.

The idea is to with all this studying is to help individual's to achieve self-understanding and at the same time fit into the world around them.  In my mind Astrology is capable of painting a detailed picture of an individual from birth to death.

The Sun and Moon symbolize male and female, father and mother.  At birth the infant is closest to its source, having just left the mother's womb  or protection, not yet touched by worldly knowledge.  The child's cry is primal, demanding what it needs, food, warmth, dryness and comfort.  This is the oral stage, we all start helpless.  The moon in the chart tells how well the newborns needs are met.  It also defines how the infant responds to the world, by taking nourishment and observing the world around it.  The Sun relates to the active principle, which is in the spontaneous and uncontrived actions of the infant, who expresses life without inhibition.  The Sun represents the egocentric child in all of us, going out into the world as if all activity revolved around the self.  These are the fundamental  modes that form the core of the personality.  They have a strong effect on the individual's  sexuality, particularly if any of his or her needs are denied or thwarted at this stage of development.

I could spend years  giving  Astrology  lessons, but I doubt many  of you  have an interest in  becoming an Astrologer.  My plan is  to provide comparisons for the signs, for compatibility.  While Sun Sign's are only a small portion of a person, my hope is to be informative.  perhaps in your online dating profile you might want to provide your sign and ask for the other person's sign.  I feel there is a lot to learn just from this point of view.
