Welcome back:

Today I would like to talk about dating profiles.  While we know that honesty is the first rule, and humor is likely the second rule, the profile picture may be the third rule of the dating profile.

Lets talk about your dating profile picture or pictures.  I think the main photo should be done by a professional photographer, after this is the first image searchers see.  Why not make it your best.  A photographer will know your best look, and has the ability to bring out your personality.  The better acquainted you are the greater chances your dating profile photo expresses you.  Have any of you ever experienced "glamor shots"?  This is going back a few years, maybe as far back as the early 70's,  I had this experience, not through a company, but a photographer friend.  What fun!  You take changes of clothes, and just go with the experience.  At the time my now husband, who was my boyfriend then, gave me a fur coat for Christmas, so my friend told me to bring it, I did, and we took photo's with only the coat on.  In any case these photo's would have been one's I could have used in the event of needing a picture for a dating profile, as they were excellent quality, and showed something of who I am, well was at the time.  It is always  nice to have a great picture.

There are some online dating sites that require that you limit the size of your pictures.  This can be a problem because some folks don't know how to edit pictures, and not everyone has the ability because they don't have the tools.  It would be nice if the dating site would have a tool that allows you to resize the picture automatically.

Another issue with your dating profile may be that you cannot use characters like apostrophes and commas things we use often.  There isn't much logic to the denial and you must continue to correct mistakes in your dating profile before the dating site accepts your profile.
