Top 6 Online Dating Service Complaints Internet dating is very competitive, more and more users logging on to various dating sites hoping to find that right someone. Still a lot of online dating services use annoying tactics for account usage.
With so many online dating sites available, it isn't hard for users to switch from one site to another if the dating service is using unfriendly tactics for account usage. I will try to list the pet peeves.
1. Online dating services that expect you to upgrade to gold membership in order to speak with gold members. Most online dating services make users believe that they can communicate with any member category once the sign up. In most cases, not true, as you are required to upgrade to a paid membership to get in touch with paid members. This isn't fair, because you only discover later, in my mind it should be mentioned before-hand so members can make informed decisions about registering on the dating site.
2. Online dating service that takes quite long for Picture and Profile approvals. You cannot begin to use the dating site immediately, if the dating site has a policy to approve profiles prior to allowing a user to use the account. Most members expect to get to it! Perhaps some automation would be useful.
3. Instant messaging can't be disabled. Most online dating services do not allow users to deactivate the option of internet messaging or instant messaging. Seems some sort of off button would be available.
4. Inability to stop activity on you online dating account. Why can't you suspend services, if you don't want to date, or need a break, or are dating someone. It is unpleasant to continue receiving unwanted messages and emails if you don't want them. Once again, where is the easy button.
5. Inability to use special characters on dating sites. Apostrophes and commas are important parts of language. Many profiles are devoid of such characters, Often members have to keep correcting mistakes before the dating site accepts the profile. Where is the logic?
6. Picture dimensions and types. Some dating sites, for sake of uniformity or space, ask that pictures be edited to certain dimension or size before they can be uploaded. Not everyone knows how to edit pictures and not everyone has the tools. How about the picture quality? Can't the dating site allow resizing automatically? Now there's an easy button.
